MANILA--Quincy Miller is set for another tour of duty in the Philippines as he is set to join San Miguel for the upcoming EASL season.

Miller's agent, Charles Misuraca, confirmed to Sportando's Emiliano Carchia that Miller is playing for his third Filipino club after spells with Converge in the 2023 PBA Commissioner's Cup and TNT during last season's EASL cagefest and its 2024 Commissioner's Cup opener against Magnolia.

Miller last played for the Toyama Grouses in the Japan B.League, teaming up with Gilas Pilipinas power forward AJ Edu.

According to EASL rules, teams are allowed to bring in at most two imports, which means Miller can join forces with Bennie Boatwright should the Beermen get the Gilas naturalized player prospect's availability.

However, whether Miller can join them too in this season's PBA Commissioner's Cup will depend on who coach Jorge Gallent chooses as San Miguel Corporation sports director Alfrancis Chua said that the league will likely stick to only one import of unlimited height for the mid-season conference.

"For me, 2-4 players ang mababangko doon sa dalawang imports na yun. Sigurado, kakainin nila yung oras [ng mga mababangko]," Chua, also the PBA board's vice chairman, bared his opinion about in an Aug. 14 interview, although he clarified that at least during that time, nothing is official yet on the lineup composition for the Commissioner's Cup.

Hong Kong Eastern, one of the two new EASL teams for this season, is nearing an agreement with the PBA to become the guest team for the said conference.

The Beermen will play the Suwon KT Sonicboom in the opening game of the new EASL season on Oct. 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
