TNT tears down NorthPort for morale booster ahead of PBA Govs' Cup QFs

MANDALUYONG--TNT was still too much for NorthPort even without import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson with a 99-79 blowout win in their last PBA Governors' Cup elimination round game on Sunday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

In the all-Filipino bout, the Tropang Giga pulled away from the Batang Pier after outscoring them, 34-19, in the fourth quarter.

Poy Erram led TNT, which finished the group stages with an 8-2 record, with 17 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal.

Rey Nambatac added 15 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, and four steals.

Arvin Tolentino put up 24 points and six rebounds for NorthPort, whose conference ended with a 3-7 record.
