PASAY––The De La Salle Green Archers continued their perfect start in the UAAP men's basketball tournament as they defeated the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 74-61, on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Green Archers opened the third quarter with a 10-2 run to pull away from the Blue Eagles, who only had 4 points in the entire quarter.
Asked about the adjustments they made after the first half, Coach Topex Robinson said it was a change of perspective coming out of the dugout.
"I just told them that once you decide to get out of this dugout, you have to make sure that you're ready to slug it out with them," Robinson said.
Mike Phillips posted a double-double performance of 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Kevin Quiambao added 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists for the Green Archers.
For Ateneo, which dropped to 0-3, Shawn Tuano led the way with 18 points.
