DASMARIÑAS—Aaron Fuller played the hero for Rain Or Shine as the team stayed alive in the PBA Governors' Cup semifinals with a 110-109 against TNT on Sunday night at the City of Dasmarinas Arena.
Fuller completed a three-point play with 3.8 seconds left that put the Elasto Painters ahead for good after the Tropang Giga turned things around earlier in the fourth quarter.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson tried to steal the win for TNT, but his layup attempt rimmed out as time ran out.
"They passed the test of character," coach Yeng Guiao said after ROS's win that cut TNT's lead in the best-of-seven series to 2-1.
Fuller finished with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and two assists, while Santi Santillan added 20 points and six rebounds for the Elasto Painters.
Poy Erram stepped up for the Tropang Giga and led them with 27 points, five rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and three steals.
Hollis-Jefferson put up a triple-double of 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists with two steals and one block.
