MANILA—Crocs FC emerged as the biggest La Liga Youth Tournament winner after ruling three divisions over the weekend at the New Clark City Athletic Stadium in Capas.

Flying from Davao City, Crocs stood tall up north in the under-8, under-10, and under-12 tournaments.

Total FC won the under-14 tournament, while La Salle Zobel-White took the under-16 championship.

Nearly 1,400 young footballers representing 80 clubs joined the inaugural Philippine edition of the La Liga Youth Tournament.

The event first took place in Malaysia, and one Malaysian club was invited to join the Philippine tournament.

Adding spice to the tournament, which also looks to find the next Sandro Reyes and Santi Rublico who ended up with a La Liga youth team, was one player from the renowned Loyola Palawan program who is part of a La Liga club's academy.

“We are thrilled with the success of the La Liga Youth Tournament here in the Philippines. With over 80 teams participating, this event was more than just a series of matches—it was a celebration of football and the exceptional talent of young players from across Asia. The passion and energy we experienced throughout the tournament were incredible, and it’s clear that the future of football is bright. We’re proud to have provided an unforgettable experience for everyone involved, and we look forward to continuing to grow the sport in the Philippines and the region,” said Ed Pasion, president of Epic Management Inc.

Epic Management joined forces with Rely San Agustin's RSA 1 Group to make the tournament happen.

Ivan Codina, the La Liga director for Singapore, added that the La Liga Youth Tournament is here to stay in developing grassroots football throughout Southeast Asia, known for having solid football fanbases.

"We are very committed to the development of global grassroots football, and the Singapore Office has made the La Liga Youth Tournament a priority project. We aim to work to the highest quality standards and to establish the La Liga Youth Tournament brand as a reference in the region, thus we are very proud of the success of this edition in the Philippines,” Codina said.
