MAKATI – Reigning world champs Falcons AP.Bren is one step away from a return to the M-Series as they escape a scare from Blacklist International in a full five-game series Thursday.
The Hive crawled from a 1-2 deficit to force a fifth game where they force Blacklist to play defense to no avail.
Jhon Marl "Lord JM" Sebastian's Arlott took the helm once more as his Arlott plays put up six kills and eight assists in a clean 16-0 whitewash of FCAP.
The Hive didn't secure a single turret, turtle, or lord with the midlane duo of Salic "Hadji" Imam and John "Perkz" Sumawan combining for 27 assists, including several checks against Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo's Gatotkaca.
FCAP's gold laner Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano led the way with a 4/0/8 performance with the Harith as they evened the series against Blacklist in under 17 minutes.
Lord JM again paid dividends to the Codebreakers as they grabbed a 2-1 series lead after averting a dominant showing from Falcons AP.Bren for the good part of the almost 20-minute fight.
The Bigetron Alpha loanee registered a 1/3/4 KDA while soaking a team-high 128 thousand damage dealt by FCAP.
However, the reigning world champs extended the series to a decider thanks to Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel's Yve delivering a 3/1/7 performance and David "FlapTzy" Canon haunting Lord JM throughout the crucial lord dance in the 20th minute.
Hadji's 4/1/4 performance with the Zhuxin went to naught as Falcons AP.Bren capitalized on a missed Michael "MP The King" Endino's crucial attempt to steal the lord.
Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson's Suyou put up a masterful 8/0/4 KDA output as they outplayed the dreaded Angela-Alice combo from Perkz and Kiel "Oheb" Soriano and forcing retributions away from Michael "MP The King" Endino.
Blacklist is relegated to the lower bracket semifinals as they will face the loser of the Fnatic ONIC Philippines versus Aurora Gaming matchup, while the series winner will face Falcons AP.Bren, both on Friday.
