MAKATI - Reigning M5 champions Falcons AP.Bren ends the MPL Philippines regular season with a bang as they give defending MPL champs Team Liquid PH a 2-0 beatdown Sunday.
The Hive repeats its August 31 result against the Cavalry where jungler Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson led the charge for the men in green and yellow.
Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo's Tigreal did wonders for FCAP in a 25-minute Game 1 affair as he contributed to 17 of 26 total kills for the team while Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano delivered a 14/1/6 performance with the Harith.
Liquid PH almost finished the job in the 18th minute until they fell one by one, the most crucial one against Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno, with the FCAP base only half in health.
It was a different story in Game 2 as Falcons AP.Bren completely blew Liquid PH's chances with a 15-4 thumping while not losing a single turret.
Captain Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel's Vexana had a flawless game with three kills and nine assists, while KyleTzy's Julian picked up seven kills and assisted three.
KarlTzy had a bad day in office with his Hayabusa falling four times while not getting any kills or major objectives and David "FlapTzy" Canon dispersing any team-up attempts with the Phoveus.
With the win, Falcons AP.Bren clinched the second upper-bracket spot and will enjoy a bye to the second day of the playoffs, while Team Liquid PH ended as the fifth seed.
