MAKATI - Fnatic ONIC Philippines secure their first-ever MPL Philippines championship after a tight series versus Aurora Gamimg, 4-3, inside the Green Sun Hotel.

Duane "Kelra" Pillas was hailed as the Finals MVP for the series, getting both his first team and individual recognitions since his MSC 2021 triumph with Execration.

King Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez's Suyou led the way in the first game as they grabbed a 1-0 advantage from a late-game fightback, before Frince "Super Frince" Ramirez's Yve became the catalyst in Game 2 for FNOP.

Renejay "Renejay" Barcase's Gatotkaca gave a lifeline to Aurora including several crucial sets to give them a 2-1 chance.

Kelra however had other plans as his signature Harith pick led the Hedgehogs to a 17-5 blasting of RORA.

The men in white and blue staged a comeback to even the series to 3-3, as Yve's Cecilion sparked a Game 5 fightback to put the series at 3-2 before Jonard Cedrix "Demonkite" Caranto grabbed a five-kill, seven-assist performance with the Alpha in Game 6.

Kelra and Super Frince became instrumental in Game 7 as they kept Aurora off their tracks while K1NGKONG tried to divert their attention by pushing to the top lane.

A forced team fight near the FNOP base occurred and only Jan Dominic "Domeng" del Mundo was left to defend to no avail after the skirmish, sealing the deal for the men in yellow.

The win marked the ONIC franchise's first-ever MPL Philippines title since its inception in Season 4.

Both FNOP and Aurora will head to Malaysia for a shot at the M6 World Championship in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur in December.
