MANILA--Fnatic Onic Philippines is currently on a historic run in the MPL Philippines Season 14.

The Anthony Senedrin-coached franchise rewrote the premier esports league's record books on Sunday night when they became the first team to score 12 straight victories.

Now that history is made, Senedrin, who last month at the end of the first round said that sweeping the regular season was not on top of his mind, changed his tune a bit and is now looking at the possibility of actually completing a 14-0 elimination phase or even a full 17-0 sweep of the season up until the playoffs.

"I would say there's just a chance, slightly higher I think," Senedrin said after his club's historic win against RSG Philippines on Sunday night at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom in Makati.

Senedrin, or "Ynot" in the esports realm, may have all the reasons to be more confident this time as Fnatic Onic PH has a more dominant second round so far.

Games-wise, Fnatic Onic PH is currently 10-1 in the second round with only Aurora forcing a Game 3 against them.

Fnatic Onic PH also put up better showings against Blacklist International and Team Liquid Philippines by sweeping them in their second-round meetings after their first-round affairs both went into Game 3s.

The 2-0 sweep of RSG PH in the process also sealed the top seed for Fnatic Onic PH, the first time they will go directly to the upper bracket rounds since 2020.

Senedrin, who just joined Fnatic Onic PH earlier this year before Season 13, is set to get an easier route to the championship without the need to go for a Cinderella finish like how he and jungle Duane Pillas went when they were still with Smart Omega during Season 9 back in 2022.

Only two clubs stand in the way of Fnatic Onic PH's bid to complete the 14-0 regular season sweep, both still have some job to do.

Reigning world champion Falcons AP Bren is on paper the more likely to hand Fnatic Onic PH its first loss, and beating them on Friday night will officially seal the second seed and the other first-round bye in the playoffs for the Bren franchise.

Fnatic Onic PH will finish its regular season campaign the evening later against no less than Senedrin and Pillas' former team, which also has a backdoor shot at stealing the first-round bye.

However, already having beaten both of them in the first round, Senedrin is hopeful that they would repeat against their Week 8 foes and complete the sweep of the regular season.

"Consistency lang," Senedrin said.
