JM Bravo's late fall overshadowed an impressive game from JL Capulong. NCAA |
MANILA––Arellano shocked NCAA Final Four contender Lyceum on Saturday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
The bigger news, though, was another injury bug that struck JM Bravo.
Bravo was knocked out after clashing heads with Renzo Abiera while falling on the floor chasing the loose ball with eight seconds left.
Bravo, who finished with 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and one block, was rushed to the nearby Cardinal Santos Medical Center, where he is currently recovering.
He is expected to be placed under the league's concussion protocols before he can resume playing for the Pirates.
JL Capulong had monster numbers of 30 points, 16 rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal for Arellano in its 91-86 win.
Maverick Vinoya stepped up for the now 4-8 Chiefs with 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
Ato Barba led Lyceum, which dropped to a three-way tie with Letran for fourth place at 6-6, with 18 points, two rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
