PASIG––Deo Cuajao capped an impressive outing for him with a clutch triple that decided Letran's 101-98 double overtime win against San Sebastian in a crucial NCAA game on Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
Cuajao converted a left-wing three with 15.1 seconds left in the second overtime session that broke a 98-all tie.
Nikko Aguilar had a chance to send the game to triple overtime for the Golden Stags, but he passed on a three-pointer and passed the ball to a cutting Tristan Felebrico, who missed his layup attempt with the clock winding down.
Cuajao's game-winning trey capped a league season-high 34 points on 12-of-19 shooting including 7-of-12 on threes with one assist and two blocks for the Knights, who momentarily took solo fourth place at 7-6, one game behind San Beda for third place.
Jimboy Estrada returned to action after serving a one-game suspension and exploded for 30 points with seven rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
Kevin Santos chipped in 13 points on 6-of-9 field goals, 11 rebounds, and three blocks.
Paeng Are fired 27 points, two rebounds, four assists, and five steals, Felebrico added 19 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists, and Leo Velasco contributed 12 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and one steal for the Golden Stags, who dropped to the bottom of the standings at 3-10.
