MANILA––James Payosing played his best game so far this NCAA season as he led San Beda to an 83-70 win against Jose Rizal University on Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Coming off the bench, Payosing, the Season 99 Finals MVP, provided the needed energy for the Red Lions, who returned to action after a nine-day break, to cruise past the Heavy Bombers, tallying a season-high 18 points, two shy of his career-high, six rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block.

Jomel Puno added 17 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, and one block for San Beda, which strengthened its hold of third place at 9-5.
