MANILA––San Beda showed its fans on Saturday that Arellano just got lucky on them during their last face-off with a 79-65 win in their NCAA men's basketball second-round game at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
The Red Lions rode behind a career game from Bismarck Lina and solid defense early on as a team to rip the Chiefs.
Lina finished with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal off the bench for San Beda, which moved up to 7-3, a half-game behind College of St. Benilde for first place.
Yuki Andrada added 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Jomel Puno had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Lorenz Capulong put up 16 points, five rebounds, one block, and one steal for Arellano, which fell to 3-7.
