SAN JUAN, MM--Rain Or Shine turned the tables in the last three quarters to eliminate Magnolia from PBA Governors' Cup contention with a 113-103 win in Game 5 of their quarterfinal series on Saturday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Off to a lethargic start that saw the Hotshots opening a 23-11 lead late in the first quarter, the Elasto Painters caught fire offensively in the second and third periods, erupting for a combined 65 points, before holding their opponents to only 20 points in the fourth quarter.
Aaron Fuller put up 26 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block for ROS, which will face TNT in a top seed versus top seed battle in the semifinals beginning Wednesday night.
Jhonard Clarito and Adrian Nocum each added 17 points with Clarito also grabbing 10 rebounds.
Jabari Bird put up 23 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, and one block for Magnolia.
