MANILA--TNT became the second team to clinch a spot in the PBA Governors' Cup semifinals after beating NLEX, 125-96, in Game 4 of the quarterfinals on Tuesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The Tropang Giga sizzled quickly and made a smooth sailing against the Road Warriors, who lacked the needed support for Robert Bolick to keep their hopes alive.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson put up 35 points on 12-of-20 field goals, 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block to lead TNT, which will face the winner of the do-or-die Saturday night match between Magnolia and Rain Or Shine in the best-of-seven semis beginning next week.
Rey Nambatac added 19 points, three rebounds, and one assist, while Calvin Oftana and Glenn Khobuntin each had 11 markers with Oftana also tallying 10 boards.
Bolick finished with 25 points, five rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block, while DeQuan Jones had 21 points, three rebounds, three assists, and one steal for NLEX, which bowed out of contention despite a 3-0 start to the conference.
