MANILA—TNT broke loose in the third quarter to nip Rain Or Shine anew, 108-91, in Game 2 of their PBA Governors' Cup semifinals on Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The Tropang Giga first set the tone for the breakaway in the second quarter where they outscored the Elasto Painters, 30-23, to take a 47-44 halftime lead before erupting for 38 points in the third to pull away.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led TNT anew with 23 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal as the team is now 2-0 up in the best-of-seven series.
Calvin Oftana added 18 points, 14 rebounds, and two assists.
Jhonard Clarito put up 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal for ROS.
