TNT seals spot in PBA Govs' Cup Finals with semis Game 5 rout vs ROS

MANILA--TNT formally booked its place in the PBA Governors' Cup Finals after whipping Rain Or Shine, 113-95, in Game 5 of the semifinals on Friday night in front of 10,039 fans at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Tropang Giga pulled away from the Elasto Painters after outscoring them, 28-14, in the second quarter to open a 56-39 halftime lead before staying at a comfortable distance in the second half.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson nearly pulled off a triple-double after tallying 36 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists with six steals and one block for TNT.

RR Pogoy added 19 points including a perfect 3-for-3 on threes, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals as the team will await the winner of the Ginebra-San Miguel series.

Aaron Fuller finished with 14 points, six rebounds, and one assist for ROS, which was knocked out of the semifinals for the second straight conference.
