Judel Fuentes outplays JP Sarao as Quezon ousts Parañaque from MPBL Playoffs

MANILA--Quezon put an end to Parañaque's dream MPBL season with a 76-69 win in Game 2 of the South Division semifinals on Monday night at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum.

Judel Fuentes prevailed over JP Sarao in a shootout to lead the Huskers, who led for most of the game, past the Patriots to complete a 2-0 sweep of their best-of-three series.

Fuentes fired 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting including five triples, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal off the bench for Quezon, which will play the winner of the South Cotabato-Batangas City series in the South finals next week.

Jason Opiso and Gab Banal each added eight markers.

Sarao had 26 points on 8-of-10 field goals, eight rebounds, two assists, and one block for Paranaque, whose postseason debut came to an end.
