KBL: Justin Gutang finally wins 1 with Seoul Samsung after shocking Goyang

MANILA--Justin Gutang finally won a game in the KBL as a Seoul Samsung Thunder as the home squad upset the Goyang Sono Skygunners, 78-76, on Saturday at the Jamsil Arena in Seoul.

Seoul Samsung had Choi Seung-Wook to thank for as he made the game-winner with nine seconds left, breaking a 76-all tie.

Kim Min-Wook tried to steal the win for Goyang, but he missed a buzzer-beating three-pointer.

Choi Seong-Mo and Kofi Cockburn each tallied 23 points with the latter also grabbing 11 rebounds for the Thunders, who started the season 0-6 before finally winning their first game.

Gutang was scoreless in six minutes of action but had one assist.

Lee Jung-Hyun made 23 points, four rebounds, five assists, and five steals, Alan Williams added 22 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal for the Skygunners, who failed to regain solo first place and instead dropped to 4-2, tying the Suwon KT Sonicboom for third place.

Choi Seung-Wook, a namesake of the Seoul Samsung hero, had 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting, three rebounds, three assists, and one steal for Goyang.
