MANILA--Arvin Tolentino displayed a brilliant all-around game to lead NorthPort to a 113-101 win against Terrafirma in their PBA Commissioner's Cup game on Saturday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Tolentino finished with a triple-double of 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists as the Batang Pier pounced on a virtually all-Filipino Dyip side after Ryan Richards, after just one second of playing time, sat out the rest of the way due to an injury.
With no Richards to think about, Kadeem Jack dominated the paint and finished with 32 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal for NorthPort, which joined Hong Kong Eastern on top of the standings at 2-0.
Fran Yu also tallied a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists with two rebounds and two steals, while William Navarro made 10 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal.
Vic Manuel somehow had a solid debut for Terrafirma, which fell to 0-2, with 23 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal, while Mark Nonoy added 21 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
