MANILA--Converge just hit a jackpot as the wait for Balti Baltazar continues.
The team announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Jordan Heading, which will provide a major boost to its outside shooting.
The PBA then confirmed that the FiberXers agreed with the Terrafirma Dyip on a trade just to get the Fil-Australian gunner.
Terrafirma will get Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar, and Converge's first-round pick for the PBA Season 51 Draft scheduled for 2026.
Heading is set for a reunion with Converge assistant coach Charles Tiu and team consultant Rajko Toroman, who were his coaches with Strong Group Athletics in this year's Dubai International Basketball Championship and Jones Cup.
Heading's PBA debut is three years in the making.
The six-foot-two guard was drafted in 2021 by the Dyip as the first pick of the special Gilas round.
However, Heading opted to sign with the Taichung Wagor Suns in the T1 League to the disappointment of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
He eventually patched things up with the SBP, and he made a Gilas return in the last window of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
Speculations about a PBA arrival arose when Heading watched Game 1 of the Governors' Cup Finals between Ginebra and TNT at the Ynares Center in Antipolo on Oct. 27.
Asked by reporters about his future plans, Heading confirmed that he is open to finally playing in the league, and more than two weeks later, he is officially PBA-bound.
