MANILA--The PBA gave its fans a delicious dessert for their Monday lunch in the form of a blockbuster trade involving Terrafirma and San Miguel.

The league announced that Terrence Romeo and Vic Manuel have been shipped to the Dyip while Juami Tiongson and Drei Cahilig are heading to the Beermen.

Both Romeo and Manuel have been big names in the PBA since the 2010s but have since struggled to get playing time at SMB, especially with the emergence of CJ Perez and Don Trollano.

Speaking of emergence, Tiongson has been a revelation post-pandemic as he continued to blossom into PBA superstardom since winning the 2022 Most Improved Player award.

Now, he is set for a big payday as he was traded to the Beermen, although he now has to fight for his minutes against the likes of Perez, Simon Enciso, and Chris Ross.

On the other hand, Romeo and Manuel will finally get more playing time that they were enjoying before they joined the Beermen in the Dyip camp.

Romeo will also have a reunion with Stanley Pringle as they now look to rebuild their old 1-2 punch when they were still with NorthPort.
