MANILA--Cheick Diallo got the last laugh over Mike Watkins in a furious import battle as Converge took down NLEX, 102-91, in their PBA Commissioner's Cup clash on Tuesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Diallo put up 37 points on 15-of-24 shooting, 18 rebounds, two blocks, and two steals to lead the FiberXers past Watkins, who likewise had monster numbers of 36 points on 13-of-20 field goals, 23 rebounds, one assist, and three blocks, and the Road Warriors.
Converge put up a solid defensive effort in the end to nip NLEX, holding them to just 19 points in the fourth quarter.
Alec Stockton added 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals, while Jordan Heading made 14 points, four rebounds, and 11 assists for the FiberXers, who moved up to 3-2.
Robert Bolick tallied 26 points, one rebound, six assists, one steal, and one block for the Road Warriors, who dropped to 3-3.
