PBA: ROS pulls away late to edge Terrafirma

PASIG--Rain Or Shine banked on a strong endgame push to rip a gritty Terrafirma side, 124-112, in their PBA Commissioner's Cup game on Sunday night at the PhilSports Arena.

Engaging in a virtual seesaw battle against the Dyip for most of the game, the Elasto Painters pulled away in crunch time, finishing the game on a 20-4 run within the final seven and a half minutes after still trailing, 104-108.

Deon Thompson led ROS, which ended 2024 with four straight wins, with 23 points, 17 rebounds, four assists, one block, and two steals.

Adrian Nocum added 21 points, 17 in the second half, seven rebounds, two assists, and one block as his team moved up to the second spot at 4-1, just behind NorthPort.

Brandon Edwards put up 26 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal for Terrafirma, which dropped to 0-7 in the conference.

Louie Sangalang added 21 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and three blocks.
