MANILA--Rain Or Shine showed tough defense down the stretch to complete a come-from-behind 102-100 win against Magnolia in their PBA Commissioner's Cup game on Wednesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The Elasto Painters held the Hotshots scoreless in the last 6:06 of the game, then went on a 13-0 run to fight back from 11 points down.
ROS was held scoreless in the final 3:27 of the game, but Magnolia could not capitalize in the end.
Deon Thompson led the Elasto Painters, now 3-1 in the standings, with 18 points, 15 rebounds, one assist, three blocks, and three steals.
Santi Santillan added 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal.
Ricardo Ratliffe put up 27 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, one block, and two steals for Magnolia, which dropped to 1-4.
Ian Sangalang played his best game this conference with 21 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one block.
