PBA: SMB erupts in last 3 quarters to clip Blackwater

MAKATI--San Miguel stretched its renewed winning ways with Leo Austria back as head coach by trampling Blackwater, 115-102, on Sunday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Down 18-26 after the first quarter, the Beermen exploded in the last three quarters, dropping 97 points on the Bossing, who quickly fizzled after only tallying 22 in the second period.

Torren Jones led SMB, now at 3-2, with 29 points, 14 rebounds, one assist, and one block, while June Mar Fajardo added 27 points, 22 rebounds, six assists, and one block.

Don Trollano also had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds as his team had a busy night collecting the ball off a miss with 66 boards compared to only 29 by Blackwater.

George King fired 40 points with six rebounds, four assists, and two steals for the Bossing, who dropped to 1-4.
