PBA: Stephen Holt catches fire as Ginebra posts 1st win with Troy Rosario

MANILA--Stephen Holt scorched in the third quarter as Ginebra began its PBA Commissioner's Cup campaign with a 109-100 win against NLEX on Wednesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Holt nearly matched the Road Warriors' total output in the third, scoring 20 of the Gin Kings' 36 points in the quarter to pull away from there.

Holt finished with 26 points on 8-for-11 shooting including 5-of-6 from beyond the arc, two rebounds, and two assists for Ginebra, which began a string of six games in 15 nights with a victory.

Justin Brownlee added 24 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks.

Troy Rosario put up nine points, seven rebounds, and three assists in his first game as a Gin King, while Scottie Thompson flirted with a triple-double after tallying 13 assists, eight points, and eight rebounds with three steals.

Mike Watkins put up 27 points, 21 rebounds, two assists, and one block for NLEX, which dropped to 3-2.
