MANILA--Selangor continued to keep its hopes of completing the "Golden Road" alive after they eliminated Team Spirit from M6 contention with a 3-0 sweep of the lower bracket semifinals on Saturday at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.
Selangor first set the tone in Game 1 where the Malaysian club ripped its Russian counterpart apart for a 22-4 kill lead and a dominating win.
Team Spirit had its best chance in Game 2 when it completed a team wipe in the second lord fight, but JV "Innocent" Banal's retaliation with the Moskov sparked the final turn of events that gave Selangor the 2-0 series lead.
Team Spirit never recovered from the Game 2 collapse as Selangor dominated Game 3 and capped the series sweep with a wipeout in the final push.
Selangor will face Team Liquid Indonesia in the lower bracket finals later on Saturday.
The winner will face upper bracket ruler Fnatic Onic Philippines in the grand finals on Sunday night.
