PASIG--Ryukyu played spoiler to Meralco's shot for an EASL semifinal seat with an 89-71 blowout win on Wednesday night at the PhilSports Arena.

Already bound for the playoffs, the Golden Kings still imposed their dominance on the Bolts, gradually pulling away in the last three quarters while holding off their opponents' comeback bid.

Victor Law led Ryukyu, which finished its group stage campaign at 5-1, with 20 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while Alex Kirk added 19 points on 8-for-10 field goals, eight rebounds, one assist, and one block.

Cliff Hodge and Ange Kouame each scored 13 points for Meralco, which dropped to 2-3 and now needs to beat New Taipei on Feb. 12 to clinch the last Final Four seat.

The Bolts decided to sit out Akil Mitchell for the game.

Meanwhile, Hiroshima survived a Taoyuan comeback for a 95-92 win at the F-Pico Arena
