PASIG--Blackwater kept its PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinal hopes alive by romping winless Terrafirma, 96-86, on Wednesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
In the battle featuring teams at the bottom of the standings, the Bossing bounced back from a rough second quarter where the Dyip held them to only 11 points by outscoring their opponents, 51-39, in the second half.
George King, despite only making two four-pointers out of 13 attempts, led Blackwater, which moved up to 2-7, two and a half games behind San Miguel for the eighth and last quarterfinal spot, with 26 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Justin Chua added 17 points, 12 rebounds, and one assist off the bench.
Brandon Edwards posted 29 points on 12-of-16 shooting, 16 rebounds, and one assist for Terrafirma, which dropped to 0-10.
