PASIG—TNT sizzled in the fourth quarter to clobber NLEX, 94-87, in their PBA Commissioner's Cup clash on Wednesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
Held to only 15 points in the second quarter before letting the Road Warriors score 28 in the third, the Tropang Giga outscored them, 26-10, in the first nine minutes of the final frame to pull away for good.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led TNT, which moved up to second place based on percentage points with its fifth straight win after a 0-2 start, with 23 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and three blocks.
RR Pogoy added 18 points, one rebound, two assists, and one steal.
Mike Watkins put up 33 points, 20 rebounds, two assists, and four blocks for NLEX, which dropped to 3-6, 1.5 games behind San Miguel for eighth place, with its fifth straight loss.
