MANILA--Key members of Blacklist International's last MPL Philippines team will banner the new Twisted Minds Philippines squad ahead of the domestic league's 15th season starting Feb. 28.
Three players from Blacklist, namely Michael "MP The King" Endino, Jhonville "Outplayed" Villar, and Salic "Hadji" Imam, and the coaching duo of Bonn "Bon Chan" Ricaplaza and Jayson "Eson" Gerardo have been absorbed to the new franchise.
Backstopping Endino, Villar, and Imam in the starting unit are the returning Jomarie "Escalera" Delos Santos and James "Jeymz" Gloria.
Delos Santos played as a stand-in for HomeBois in the Snapdragon Pro Series Challenge Season but was eventually let go after the Malaysian team's campaign, paving the way for him to come back to the Philippines and eventually join Twisted Minds.
Before the short loan at HomeBois, Delos Santos played for TNC during MPL Philippines Season 14.
Gloria, on the other hand, was a member of the Team Liquid Indonesia squad that ruled MPL Indonesia Season 14 but was let go before the M6 World Championship as the team decided to stick with its all-Indonesian main five.
Coming off the bench for Twisted Minds PH are Stephen "Sensui" Castillo and Jamal "Lamaj" Dimati.
It is a de facto homecoming for Castillo as he reunites with Ricaplaza, who was his coach during his Blacklist stint in MPL Philippines Season 13.
Castillo moved to Red Esports Malaysia for MPL Malaysia Season 14 but eventually went home.
Dimati, on the other hand, makes his domestic pro league debut after starring for amateur club Black Dime during the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 5 Open Finals.
