IMUS—Gilas Pilipinas is keeping the 12-man lineup that played against Chinese Taipei in its final FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers game against New Zealand.
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas announced on Saturday night that there will be no changes in the Gilas lineup as it tries to end its campaign in the qualifying phase on a high note after a stunning loss in Taiwan on Thursday night.
Japeth Aguilar, Justin Brownlee, AJ Edu, June Mar Fajardo, Jamie Malonzo, Chris Newsome, Calvin Oftana, CJ Perez, Kevin Quiambao, Dwight Ramos, Carl Tamayo, and Scottie Thompson will keep their spots in the "Final 12".
This effectively rules out Troy Rosario and Mason Amos for the entire February window.
Rosario, the latest addition to the Gilas pool, was first ruled out of the Doha International Cup due to some swelling in his knee during the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals.
This also means Gilas head coach Tim Cone, also Ginebra's mentor, is reserving Rosario for the semifinals against NorthPort starting on Wednesday night.
