MANILA--Magnolia completed the cast in the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals after ripping NLEX, 112-81, in the rubber match for the eighth seed on Sunday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Despite a slow start that saw the Road Warriors open a 15-4 lead in the first four minutes of the game, the Hotshots bounced back and kept the game close at the end of the first half before erupting for 68 points in the second half to pull away for good.
Ricardo Ratliffe led Magnolia, which set a playoff date against top-seeded NorthPort on Thursday night, with 32 points on 15-of-23 shooting, 14 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
Zav Lucero added 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one block off the bench.
Robert Bolick fired 27 points, two rebounds, and six assists, while Mike Watkins and Xyrus Torres each added 10 points with Watkins grabbing 14 rebounds for NLEX.
