MAKATI—Twisted Minds' debut in MPL Philippines will happen right at the start of the brand-new season as they battle against quick-rising Aurora in the Season 15 opener on Feb. 28 at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom here.
As announced on Thursday during the preseason press conference at the said venue, Twisted Minds PH battles Aurora at 5 p.m. on the final night of the month in a showdown between teams whose key figures were previously associated with Blacklist International.
Onic Philippines begins its national title defense at 7:30 p.m. in the nightcap of Day 1 festivities against the new-look TNC, which now stars Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera.
Team Falcons Philippines, the other newcomer in the field, begins its MPL PH foray in the first game of a March 1 tripleheader against Team Liquid Philippines.
The former AP Bren roster looks to rekindle its rivalry against Liquid PH, once called the "MPL Clasico", this time as the entire Falcons PH squad.
Aurora and Onic PH will play an early rematch of the Season 14 finals in the main game of the March 1 fixtures.
The showdown between MPL PH's newest clubs, Twisted Minds and Falcons PH, will take place on March 8 in a key Week 2 showdown.
Cabrera's first match against his former team will take place on March 21 when TNC battles Liquid PH in a Week 4 battle.
The night later, Falcons PH takes on its former home, AP Bren, which absorbed the Lazy Esports roster lock stock and barrel.
The eight teams will clash in a double round-robin regular season across eight weeks within a span of 10.
MPL PH will have an extended Lenten season break for most of April with no matches scheduled on the weekends of April 11-13 and April 18-20.
The league will be giving way to the Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Masters also from April 11-13 in Jakarta, while the following week will be devoted to the Holy Week itself.
The same win-loss system and tiebreaker rules from Season 14 will be used for Season 15.
MPL PH is also opening its transfer window for other regions, giving teams a chance to actually recruit imports.
Tickets are on sale starting on Friday for as low as PHP200.
