MAKATI—Team Falcons Philippines proved they are still a force to be reckoned with after a commanding 2-0 sweep over Twisted Minds Philippines in the MPL Philippines Season 15 regular season on Saturday afternoon.
The match, held at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom, saw the Falcons soar to a 3-1 standing, solidifying their spot among the top contenders.
Marco Stephen "SuperMarco" Requitanio delivered a masterclass performance in the gold lane, posting flawless KDAs of 4/0/3 and 9/0/2 in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, MPL veteran Angelo Kyle "Pheww" Arcangel, who has been a staple of the league since its inaugural season, reminded everyone why he is hailed as the "Idol ng mga Kids."
Playing from the mid lane, Pheww recorded a cumulative KDA of 4/4/13, dictating the tempo with surgical rotations and pinpoint initiations that left Twisted Minds struggling for answers.
With this victory, Team Falcons Philippines has only one blemish on their record: a loss to Team Liquid Philippines, their old rival since their AP Bren days.
On the other side, Twisted Minds Philippines continues to search for their first win of the season, dropping to 0-3 and anchoring the bottom of the standings.
Team Falcons Philippines will face off against TNC Pro Team on Sunday, while Twisted Minds Philippines will look to bounce back against Omega Esports on the same day.
