MANILA--The first edition of the MPL Philippines "Clasico" since the old AP Bren roster was absorbed to the new Team Falcons Philippines belonged to Team Liquid Philippines after scoring a 2-0 sweep on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom.
Kiel "Oheb" Soriano put on a show in his first game since leaving Blacklist International, scoring a "maniac" as Granger in the deciding wipeout that gave Liquid PH the opener of the best-of-three tie.
Soriano then went 6-0-5 as Harley in Game 2 a Liquid PH made sure Falcons PH would not have a chance to reverse the tides.
Liquid PH momentarily tied Aurora and Onic Philippines in the early MPL PH leaderboard, although either Aurora or Onic PH will end the night on top at 2-0 as they will face off later Saturday.
