BINAN--Manila Digger had done its part, hoping to win the PFL championship after tripping Loyola Victorias, 5-0, on Sunday night at the Binan Football Stadium.

Kenji Nishioka opened the scoring for Digger with a 30th-minute free kick before Modou Manneh made it 2-0 before halftime.

Manneh then delivered a sneaky play by flicking a short cross to a Loyola Victorias player near their own goal, which the latter accidentally kicked in to give Digger a 3-0 lead.

Coming off the bench, Su Diao finished the job for Digger by scoring the last two goals of the match.

Digger finished the season with 43 points and is momentarily on top of the league table.

However, Kaya Iloilo can steal the league championship away if it beats Stallion Laguna later Sunday, right at the latter's home turf.
