MANILA--NorthPort began its quest to complete some unfinished business by romping Terrafirma, 97-75, in their PBA Philippine Cup meeting on Saturday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The Batang Pier, who were the top seeds in the Commissioner's Cup playoffs, only to be eliminated by Barangay Ginebra badly in the semis, clobbered the now slumping Dyip from start to finish.
Arvin Tolentino led NorthPort with 19 points, eight rebounds, 12 assists, one steal, and one block, while William Navarro added 18 points on a perfect 7-for-7 shooting on two-pointers, 10 rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal.
CJ Catapusan led Terrafirma, which now dropped back-to-back losses after a seemingly inspiring opening night win, with 16 points, five rebounds, and one steal.
