PBA: Converge banks on 2nd half brilliance to pip ROS

PASIG--Converge turned the tide in the second half to nip Rain or Shine, 107-97, in their PBA Philippine Cup game on Wednesday night at the PhilSports Arena.

Just down by one at halftime, the FiberXers fired 31 points in the third quarter to take an 84-78 lead entering the fourth.

They then held the Elasto Painters to only 19 points in the final frame to seal the win.

Schonny Winston and Alec Stockton each scored 24 points to lead Converge, which now has won three straight games to move up to 4-2.

Justin Arana chipped in 18 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, and three steals, while Balti Baltazar put up 13 points, 22 rebounds, three rebounds, three blocks, and one steal.

Santi Santillan put up 26 points, six rebounds, and one block, while Gian Mamuyac added 25 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block for ROS, which fell to 2-2.
