PBA: Meralco sends Terrafirma crashing back to earth with 38-point rout

MANILA--Meralco brought Terrafirma back to earth in a devastating manner after dealing them a 118-80 beating in their PBA Philippine Cup game on Sunday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The Bolts led from start to finish and quickly opened a double-digit lead against the Dyip, which ballooned to as high as 42 points late in the contest before settling for the 38-point win.

CJ Cansino led Meralco, which moved to 2-0, with 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-5 from four-point range, four rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block.

Kurt Reyson added 16 points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals as the bench players delivered the goods.

Louie Sangalang scored 23 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one block for Terrafirma, which quickly lost two nights after an inspiring opening-night win against Phoenix.
