MANILA -- PMNFT standouts Amani Aguinaldo and Sandro Reyes were called up for the ASEAN All-Stars selection in their approaching exhibition match against Manchester United on May 28 at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As confirmed by the Philippine Football Federation on Monday, Reyes, the 2024 AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup Best Midfielder and former wunderkind will be with Peeradon Chamratsamee, Ben Davis, Worachit Kanitsribampen from Thailand, Maung Maung Lwin of Myanmar, and Nguyen Hoang Duc and Nguyen Hai Long from Vietnam.

"It's a big honor for me personally, but first I have to thank the entire team and staff as I am able to perform without all of them, so each person deserves this as much as I do," Reyes said.

Meanwhile veteran national team defender Aguinaldo will be with Kan Mo of Cambodia, Do Duy Manh and Nguyen Van Vi from Vietnam, and Indonesians Muhammad Ferrari, Asnawi Mangkualam, and Irfan Fandi.

"I'm happy and grateful to be selected and to be given such a great opportunity," Aguinaldo stated.

This will be one of the offseason activities by the Manchester United after ending up 15th in the 2024-25 English Premier League Standings.

The two Filipino footballers will possibly encounter the likes of Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Christian Eriksen, Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro, Andre Onana, among others.

After their Kuala Lumpur outing, they will head back to Manila for their training camp as they prepare to face Tajikistan in June 10 for the second window of Asian Cup Qualifiers at New Clark City Stadium in Capas.
