MAKATI--Team Falcons Philippines headlines the national teams that will play under the Sibol banner for the IESF World Esports Championships, as announced on Saturday.
Falcons PH ruled the Sibol qualifiers for Mobile Legends Bang Bang, which in effect hands Robert "Trebor" Sanchez the head coaching job.
As anticipated, Sanchez brings in his Falcons PH main five, "Super Marco" Requitiano, Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel, David "FlapTzy" Canon, Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo, and Michael "KyleTzy" Sayson to Sibol's MLBB team.
The Falcons PH main roster is not new to playing in the IESF worlds, as the quintet was the Sibol squad in the 2023 edition when they were still with AP Bren.
Requitiano, Arcangel, Canon, Unigo, and Sayson connived to lead Sibol to the MLBB title that year, which helped catapult the national team to the overall championship as well.
Following the combine that brought the Final 4 of the Sibol qualifiers into one place, Sanchez also tapped Team Liquid Philippines' Sanford Vinuya and Onic Philippines' Duane "Kelra" Pillas to complete the final seven-man roster.
Vincent "Pandora" Unigo, Falcons PH's longtime supersub, joins Sanchez in the coaching staff as the analyst.
Meanwhile, Smart Omega Empress makes a return to Sibol as the MLBB women's team.
The entire five, made up of Rica "Amoree" Amores, Sheen "Shinoa" Perez, Gwyneth "Not Ayanami" Diagon, Kaye "Keishi" Alpuerto, and Mery "Meraaay" Vivero, are coming back to the national team.
On the other hand, Sibol tapped Execration to be its DOTA 2 team lock, stock, and barrel.
This means Joel "JWL" Pagkatotohan, Bryle "CML" Alvizo, Lewis Delos Santos, Jinn "Palos" Lamatao, Mark "Shanks" Redira, and Justine "Tino" Grimaldo will be representing the Three Stars and a Sun in the IESF WEC to be coached by Malaysian mentor Leon "Arthur" Lee.
