MANILA––Alec Stockton exploded for Converge as the team manhandled NorthPort, 111-92, in their PBA Philippine Cup battle on Friday night at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Stockton fired a season-high 33 points on 11-for-21 shooting to lead the way for the FiberXers, who pulled away in the last three quarters after a slow first period.
Stockton also had three rebounds, three assists, and two steals for Converge, which moved up momentarily to fourth place at 5-3.
Schonny Winston added 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting, nine rebounds, five assists, and one steal off the bench.
Justin Arana put up 18 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists, while Balti Baltazar contributed 10 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks.
Joshua Munzon put up 23 points, six rebounds, six assists, and one steal, while William Navarro added 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal for NorthPort, which dropped to 1-5.
