PBA: Q2 breakaway lifts Magnolia past Terrafirma for 5-0 start

MAKATI--Magnolia broke loose in the second quarter to deal Terrafirma a 127-94 beating in their PBA Philippine Cup clash on Sunday night at the Ynares Center 1 in Antipolo.

Just up by two at the end of the first quarter, the Hotshots outscored the Dyip, 38-12, in the next 12-minute period to open a 65-37 halftime lead and never looked back from there.

Zav Lucero led Magnolia, which moved up to 5-0, with 17 points, nine rebounds, and one assist, while Paul Lee added 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including 2-of-3 on four-pointers, three rebounds, and one assist.

Louie Sangalang led Terrafirma, which dropped to 1-4, with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists.
