PBA: ROS stifles Blackwater in 2nd half to win in shootout

MANILA--Rain or Shine turned to its defense in the second half to take down Blackwater, 120-106, in their PBA Philippine Cup clash on Wednesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

In a high-scoring game that saw the Elasto Painters conceding 68 points to the Bossing in the first half, ROS bounced back defensively, holding Blackwater to only 38 points the rest of the way, including in the fourth quarter, where the Elasto Painters pulled away.

Keith Datu played his best PBA game by leading ROS, now tied with San Miguel for fifth place at 3-2, with 27 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.

Adrian Nocum added 23 points, 21 in the second half, four rebounds, and one assist off the bench.

Christian David led Blackwater, which dropped to a tie with Terrafirma at the bottom of the standings at 1-4, with 28 points, eight rebounds, and one block.

Sedrick Barefield added 23 points, one rebound, three assists, and one steal.
