PBA: RR Pogoy on fire as TNT continues hot streak vs Meralco

MANILA--RR Pogoy played inspired basketball on Sunday night to lead TNT to a win against Meralco in their PBA Philippine Cup battle at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Pogoy fired 34 points on 12-of-18 shooting, including 5-of-8 on threes, in almost 41 minutes of action as he too led the Tropang 5G's crucial fourth quarter where they outscored the Bolts, 32-12.

Calvin Oftana also had himself a night as he added 28 points also with a 5-for-8 clip on triples and 8-of-14 overall with five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block for TNT, which now has a three-game winning streak to jump to the .500 mark at 3-3.

Cliff Hodge had 23 points on 11-of-17 shooting, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals to lead Meralco, which dropped to 3-4 in the second game of a tough May grind as the team quickly returns to action on Wednesday night against Magnolia.
