PBA: SMB rebuilds winning run with rout vs hapless Terrafirma

MANILA--San Miguel began mounting another winning streak in the PBA Philippine Cup after walloping slumping Terrafirma, 128-89, on Sunday night at the Ynares Center 2 in Rodriguez, Rizal.

Just up seven after the first quarter, the Beermen pulled away by holding the Dyip to 16 points in the second and dropping 42 in the third.

CJ Perez and Mo Tautuaa led SMB, which won back-to-back games to move up to 5-2, a half-game behind NLEX for second place, with 17 points each with Tautuaa going 7-for-7 from the field.

Rodney Brondial added a monster game of 16 points, a career-high 22 rebounds, one block, and one steal, while June Mar Fajardo and Don Trollano tallied 12 points each with Fajardo grabbing 12 boards.

Mark Nonoy fired 24 points on 3-for-4 shooting from four-point range, three rebounds, and one steal for Terrafirma, which fell to 1-7.
