TAGUIG--Robert Bolick showed how reliable he can be in crunch time as he paced NLEX to an 80-72 win against Blackwater in the PBA's first-ever game at the Ynares Center 2 in Rodriguez, Rizal on Friday night.
With the Road Warriors just up four with three and a half minutes left, Bolick hit back-to-back triples that brought their lead back to eight, 74-66, with 2:21 to play, as the Bossing could not mount a late rally from there.
Bolick was 0-for-5 on threes before the said sequence, making his late string of threes very timely as he finished the game with 20 points alongside seven rebounds, six assists, and one steal for NLEX, which moved up to 3-1, tying San Miguel for second place in the standings behind 4-0 Magnolia.
JB Bahio added 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
BJ Andrade put up 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting, two rebounds, one assist, and two steals to lead Blackwater, which fell to a four-way tie for eighth place at 1-3.
