MANILA--Ryukyu got back at Utsunomiya in the Japan B.League Finals after using a second-half push to take an 87-75 Game 2 win on Sunday at the Yokohama Arena.
Down 35-43 at the half, the Golden Kings went on a 28-point third quarter to cut the deficit down to one, 63-64, before outscoring the Brex, 24-11, in the fourth to complete the comeback.
Vic Law led Ryukyu, which sent the best-of-three series into a sudden-death showdown, with 19 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
Jack Cooley and Hayate Arakawa each added 13 markers, with Cooley also grabbing 10 boards.
DJ Newbill put up 21 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and three steals to lead Utsunomiya, which missed out on sweeping the championship series.
Game 3 is scheduled on Tuesday night back at the Yokohama Arena.
